SPECIAL PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN ISSUE!
Barr/Root-related Topics only

Bob Barr and Wayne Allyn Root are the Libertarian Party Presidential and Vice-Presidential nominees

At the national convention held in Denver over the Memorial Day weekend, former Congressman Bob Barr (foreground) was nominated as the Libertarian Party Presidential nominee. Wayne Allyn Root (seated to his right) was chosen for the Vice-Presidential slot.
The Barr/Root campaign has hit the ground running, having raised over $500K dollars as of late July. Barr and Root have been interviewed on numerous television and radio programs including nearly every major political program on the major cable and broadcast networks, as well as on highly-viewed programs such as The Colbert Report.
Be sure to visit the official campaign website, BobBarr2008.com, daily to keep up with all that is going on.
Join a Bob Barr 2008 Meetup
Meet face-to-face and over teleconferences with other Bob Barr supporters by joining a Bob Barr 2008 Meetup.
Barr currently has 130 meetup groups, with over 5700 members. That is more groups than either Obama (110) or McCain (25) have, with more members than McCain (approx. 700), but only about half the members Obama meetups have (approx. 10,800). Help Barr have the largest online community of all the Presidential candidates by joining a Barr '08 meetup!
Here is a current list of Barr Meetups in California:
This national Barr meetup is especially for the organizers of Barr state- and local-level meetups:
If there is not a Barr meetup in your county, please consider starting one yourself.
