* Endorsed in California Libertarian Party convention, Feb. 2008
Statewide Ballot Initiatives:
Further information on the ballot initiatives may be found
on the Secretary of State's website.
Vote YES on 98, NO on 99!
In 2005, the Supreme Court of the United States in a bitter 5-4 decision, upheld the authority of municipalities to seize private property for the purposes of commercial redevelopment.
This election you have a chance to reverse the effect of that decision in the State of California by voting YES on Prop. 98 and NO on Prop. 99.

Drawing by Scott Bieser
The Libertarian Party of California urges you to vote YES on Proposition 98 and NO on Proposition 99. For the property protections in Prop. 98 to pass, Prop. 99 must fail at the ballot box.
The writers of Prop. 99 were so worried that Californians would vote to restore their property rights that they put in a clause stating that it would become the reigning constitutional amendment if both pass.
So on June 3rd, Vote YES on Prop. 98 and NO on Prop. 99!
